Citroen EV:Citroen e-C3X launched at Rs 10.25 lakh: Bass, features explained.

Citroen India today finally launched the new Citroen e-C3X Electric in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1.74 lakh cheaper than its predecessor. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, which reduces the purchase price of the vehicle by Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs 2.26 per km. Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Citroen eC3X receives additional convenience features as well as revisions to its exterior and interior, and now also gets more range. It has been introduced in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine. In the Indian market, this electric hatchback competes with Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet. Talking about the battery first, the 2026 eC3X gets a 29.2kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed MIDC-certified driving range of 325 km – an improvement of 79 km over the previous version. Drive is sent to the front wheels through an electric motor rated at 57hp and 143Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107 kmph. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 percent to 100 percent using an AC charger takes 10 hours and 30 minutes, while a DC fast charger can top the battery level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 57 minutes.

The 2026 eC3X gets a number of feature and design updates including projector LED headlamps, new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and power-folding, electrically adjustable ORVMs. The V-shaped LED DRLs, LED tail-lamps, body cladding, wheel-arch mouldings, halogen fog lamps and skid plate-style bumper insert are retained.The cabin now features a dual-tone blue-and-beige color scheme and leatherette seat upholstery, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New additions include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, dashcam and six-speaker JBL audio system. Dashcam and JBL Setup are available as accessories.Safety features include six airbags on the top variant and four airbags on the lower trim. Existing equipment, such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air conditioning, rear wiper and reverse parking camera with sensors have been carried forward.
