Toyota Hilux facelift teaser: Design, cabin updates expected

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the first teaser of the upcoming Hilux facelift ahead of its India debut on July 28, 2026. Although the brief teaser doesn’t fully reveal the pickup truck, it does provide a glimpse of the redesigned front fascia.The teaser shows the new Hilux with a large front grille and slim LED headlamps. ‘TOYOTA’ is written on the grille in place of the traditional Toyota emblem. The new model is also expected to feature a redesigned front bumper with skid plate, refreshed alloy wheel design and updated tail lamps with C-shaped LED lighting elements.Inside, the cabin is likely to get a significant upgrade in terms of technology and perceived quality. The new Hilux is expected to feature dual 12.3-inch displays, including a fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. Other expected additions include a new three-spoke steering wheel, an all-black interior theme, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless phone charging, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera. Toyota is also expected to retain physical controls for climate settings and off-road functions. Under the hood, the pickup is expected to continue with the familiar 2.8-litre diesel engine that produces around 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes. Safety is expected to be boosted by a more comprehensive ADAS package that could include features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking. Standard safety equipment is also expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control and hill-assist system.
